Me, in my office

Hi, I’m Jack McConnell – the developer of Content Notify.

Based in the South of England, I’ve been a WordPress developer and designer since 2009. Over the past decade, I’ve built a successful web design company called Made with Fuel, and released a number of WordPress plugins – the sister plugin to Content Notify, Better Notifications for WP, is installed on over 40,000 WordPress websites.

Outside of designing and developing WordPress websites and plugins, I co-host a WordPress-centric podcast called Pressing Matters.

I’m married with two children, and enjoy making things, exploring, films, and music.

About Content Notify

Content Notify was created for a couple of reasons. Mainly, the ability for users to create their own alert notifications within WordPress seemed to be completely lacking except for in a few bespoke WordPress themes, and even then the functionality seemed to be limited to specific use cases, such as for job alerts.

My other plugin, Better Notifications for WP (BNFW), handles the admin side of notifications but people kept coming to me asking how their users could create their own email notifications. After much time trying to work out how BNFW could do this and realising that it wasn’t going to be possible without completely re-engineering the plugin, I created Content Notify to remedy this.
